The 1.8m Greenburner is the most popular Greenburner model it being the machine that made the Greenburner name initially. Back in 1996 it made it's first appearance and has undergone many modifications since it's launch. Over this time it has continued to provide a reliable and efficient service and has generated a wide customer base from the UK and Ireland to mainland Europe.

It is primarily aimed at the medium-sized organic farmer/contractor. Increasingly being used by a range of commercial growers including Potato Farmers and Daffodil Growers who are seeking an alternative to acid and chemical desiccation techniques as the Greenburner allows them to have total control on their applications.

The Greenburner is not weather dependent, does not require special licensing to use, and can be operated close to footpaths and waterways.

On a 1.8m Greenburner infrared heat is created by a row of 14 gas burner nozzles and a special expanded mesh sections under the canopy. The hydraulically driven air knife at the rear of the machine ensures a good circulation of air through the machine feeding the flame with oxygen.
